I didn’t say it in so many words, but the split in the Democratic Party — unless candidate partisans don’t STFU pretty quickly — could provide an opening for the most corrupt POTUS in my lifetime to gain reelection. In theory, I agree with you. But I’m trying to point out that if the Democrats once more seize defeat from the jaws of victory, there will still be a way to begin repairs.
