Thank you for your kind remarks about one of the articles outside of my usual political science/history/economics bailiwick. They don’t get a lot of response, but writing them is cathartic. I am still not over Max the Magnificent, but I’ve felt much better since I published this:

Other dog stories I’ve put on Medium are in “Rescue Dogs Find Homes”, where I started out to put down some of the stories my wife and I accumulated over years of taking pups out of dire circumstances. However, that was the first one and it did not get curated, so I’ve taken the hint and determined to lay off the dog stories.

The other one that is personal is “R.I.P. State Fair Tippy”. I write those down for my own mental health.
