The Federalists thought there would be no parties.
It didn’t work out that way.
I don’t think there is anything inevitable about two parties but there is something inevitable about more than one.
Don’t you think Hegel got it right? Thesis begets antithesis and the synthesis of the two begets a new antithesis.
If Hegel didn’t get it right, then at what point does the process end and why?
