You are very kind, Joe, but I don’t know how I would expand what I wrote.

I have noticed over the years that every time I see the guy who yanked the girl’s pants down to show her tat he’s with a different woman. I take away from that he has trouble forming lasting relationships with women but no trouble at all having serial temporary relationships.

My second wife, who I consider the love of my life, died of a stroke.

I’ve been married to my third wife for 24 years.

One way to read that is that I don’t get around much and that other guy does. I choose few and deep over many and shallow. When I think of who my best friends are, many are women. I’ve had sexual thoughts about a few of them but not most. I’ve heard the claim that sex — the physical act — always mediates the relationship between a man and a woman. I do not think that is correct.
